L.A. Confidential was the last great Noir Thriller made. Other high profile movies like 2006's The Black Dahli tried to replicated it's success but failed in my opinion. What L.A. Confidential got right was giving everyone an idelogical code they were following. The movie didn't merely have heroes and anti-heroes teaming up to face off vs evil.

Great article! What I take away from the ending is that love isnāt everything in life. Yes, finding true love is wonderful and amazing, but so is achieving your dream, whatever that may be. I love that itās not a typical Hollywood ending in which the two love interests end up together.
It was heavy, but it didn't hit you over the head the way so many modern movies do. I guess you could say it was "deftly" heavy. 2. ā¢. Really was rather well done overallā¦good casting, interesting story, great noir elements of no true heroes, just a lot of bent characters with their own faults and vices.
